东莞南城加美幼儿园

为迎接3•23世界气象日的到来，东莞南城加美幼儿园积极响应东莞南城教育部门宣传气象科普知识的号召，在3月20-31日开展了一系列气象科普宣传活动，力求让孩子们能在此活动中了解气象知识，学会应对气象灾害。

3月20日，加美幼儿园老师们给孩子们上了生动的气象知识课堂 ，详细讲解了天气预报制作、天气预报获取途径、人工增雨、灾害天气及个人防范措施、气象谚语、气象标志等方面的小常识，观看气象科普剧，并发放了专门的宣传材料。大班级的老师还组织孩子举行气象科普知识竞赛活动。气象知识离我们有多远？ 多少度是高温天气？ 每天最低温出现在什么时候？孩子们热情高涨地争相抢答，老师们也连连称赞。

3月21日，老师开始带领孩子们动手创作属于孩子们自己的气象知识展板，并绘制了气象知识图画。加美幼儿园的孩子们“各显身手”，现场创作气氛十分激烈。展出后，气象展板区吸引了不少“粉丝”。气象展板展真知，气象图画绘学识。通过这一系列活动的开展，孩子们对气象工作、气象灾害防御小常识的了解与日俱增，热情日益高涨。(完)

Weather Science-Learning For Disaster Reduction

March 20 to 21, Canadian International CanAm Kindergarten (CKE-CA) carried out meteorological science activities to celebrate World Meteorology Day on March 23. The activities aimed to help kids understand weather and learn to cope withmeteorological disasters.

On day one classes were taught in producing detailed weather forecasts,understanding existing forecasts, artificial precipitation and weather proverbswhich reflect common sense. Teachers were thrilled by students’ enthusiasm as kids watched a film on weather science and they issued special promotional materials. Big classes even held a contest on weather knowledge and temperature at different times of day.

On March 21, teachers led kids to create their own weather knowledge boards and draw pictures of the weather. The atmosphere was so intense and they attracted alot of fans.

This exhibition of meteorology shows real-world understanding and learning through their meteorological drawings. During these activities our kids really enjoyed studying weather and became better at dealing with meteorological disasters as a result.
