【经验分享】自主游戏 遵从天性赋予的权利

  前言:儿童学习能力的提升是我们一切工作的中心。为让“自主发展”教育理念在实践中贯彻落实,佛山市禅城区卡尔加里幼儿园创设了一个基于儿童兴趣和需要的环境,支持儿童自主学习,独立自主探索游戏。幼儿园里的各种自主游戏,其目的是挖掘生活的独特价值,创设丰富的教育环境,最大限度地支持和满足幼儿通过直接感知和实际操作获取经验,让孩子拥有自发选择、自主活动和自由创造的权利,并在游戏中释放出天性。

 

 

  流动的沙水,拥有无穷尽的形态,最大限度满足着孩子们摆弄物体和好活动的愿望。后花园里,孩子们沉浸在游戏的快乐中。瞧,孩子们正在用竹架和竹片拼搭管道,挖沙开渠,观察水流速度。通过利用各种工具、材料,互相交流合作,发挥集体的创造力、想象力,孩子们创造了多样的玩法,玩得不亦乐乎。

 


  

  “老师,今天我要做一间房子”、“老师,今天我做的长颈鹿一定会成功”、“老师,我发现这两个钉子不一样,应该可以这样钉” ……木工坊里,孩子们学习绘图、测量、计算、切割、拼装、打磨等,耐心专注于自己的木工制作,反复思考并努力解决遇到的各种问题。

 


  老师永远是孩子们最可靠的同盟。在开展游戏前,老师让孩子自发选择游戏,带领孩子讨论木工区需要遵守的规则。比危险更可怕的事情是孩子不知道它危险,老师告知孩子们工具使用的危险和避免危险的方法。开展游戏时,老师则以一个观察者的身份出现,跟随孩子,放手让孩子们大胆探索。


  除了后花园和木工坊,农家乐、小迷宫、军事战地、涂鸦板、沙滩、山坡、草坪、秋千、木屋、绳网也给孩子们提供了锻炼体能和发挥想象的游戏机会。自由自在的乐园,天马行空的想象,孩子们的脸上洋溢着安静与专注,轻松与快乐!


  玩是孩子的天性,这样的天性,要求自发、自主、自由的教育理念,也赋予了我们寓教于乐、遵从自然的权利。卡尔加里幼儿园崇尚充满趣味和挑战的自主游戏,这不仅锻炼了孩子们的手部肌肉和触觉、视觉机能,还激发了孩子们的创造力、探索精神和自主意识,磨炼了他们的意志,孩子们学会三思而后行,学会主动探索学习,构建认知,自我存在感和成就感增强。

 

Independent Games
Canadian Kindergarten- Calgary


The point of all our work is the children’s learning. As such, Canadian Kindergarten - Calgary (CKE-CY) has created an environment for children which is based upon children’s interests and needs, and supports them in learning independently. In this environment, children can explore and play by themselves. We have a lot of independent games, of which the goal is to cherish the unique value of the game and life, and create an abundant educational environment, support and satisfy children’s needs for ample experience as much as possible through direct physical interaction and practice.  This allows have the right to make their choice, playing independently and creating on their own.


We can see our children enjoying the fun of games in the back yard: the flowing sand and water have unlimited shapes, and are suitable to carry for independent play, as they can satisfy children’s desire of fiddling and moving. Children can use bamboo to make a pipe, digging the sand to make a river and observing the speed of flow. They have lots of fun using different tools and materials, following their own imaginations, making groups, discussing and cooperate with each other. They make lots of games by using their innovation and imagination.


"Teacher, today I want to make a house," "teacher, today I will make a giraffe," "teacher, I found that these two nails there not the same, this nail is bent" ......In the wood workshop, children learn to draw, measure, calculate, cut, assemble and polish patiently while focusing on their own woodworking; thinking and using problem solving skills.
The teacher is most important for children. Before the class begins, the children spontaneously organize games, and the teacher discusses or teaches them the rules to be followed in the carpentry area, informing the children of how to use the tools properly and safely. In those areas, the teacher is only an observer, following the children, and letting them spontaneously choose the outcomes.


We also have a farmhouse, maze, marching area, graffiti board, sand pit, slopes, lawns, swings, wood workshop and climbing net which all provide opportunity for children to exercise physical fitness, but also give children a free and happy environment with unlimited imagination for creativity.


Playing is natural for a child, and such a nature requires a spontaneous, independent, free educational philosophy and lots of fun. Independent games, full of challenge and enjoyment, not only helps children with physical training of their hand muscles and visual functions, but also stimulates the spirit of exploration which inspires the child's creativity and cultivates the initiative to explore learning with awareness of the self.  This tempers the child's will, letting the children learn to think twice before they do, and gathering a sense of self and a sense of accomplishment.
